Citizen watches, from Eco-Drive to mechanical

This page holds every Citizen we carry, for men and women. Most run on Eco-Drive, which charges from any light and never needs a battery change; the rest are Citizen automatics and the battery-powered Citizen Quartz line. As an authorized Citizen dealer, we carry a wide spread of the range, from ISO-rated divers to an 18.4 mm dress watch.

• Promaster Dive: Citizen’s dive watches, many built to ISO dive standards, in Eco-Drive and automatic versions from 36.5 mm up. The Promaster Dive and Diver page compares them.
• Promaster Air: pilot’s watches. The Skyhawk A-T sets itself from atomic time signals in 43 cities, the Navihawk carries a slide-rule bezel for flight calculations, and the Nighthawk is a rugged chronograph. See Skyhawk, Nighthawk and Navihawk.
• Tsuyosa: an automatic at 37 or 40 mm whose bracelet links run straight out of the case, with bright dials in aqua, teal, orange, green and more. More on the Citizen Tsuyosa page.
• Dress and everyday: Corso, which brings 100 metres of water resistance to a dress watch; Axiom, with crystal running to the very edge of the case; and Citizen L for women, under sapphire crystal.
• Calendars and the moon: the Calendrier, the Tsuki-yomi A-T and the Perpetual Chrono A-T.
• Licensed editions: Star Wars and Marvel watches, which are Citizen watches with the same warranty as the rest of the range.

Eco-Drive, automatic or quartz

Citizen made the world’s first light-powered analog watch in 1976, and that idea became Eco-Drive. A solar cell under the dial turns light into power for a quartz movement, and a full charge keeps the watch running for months without light. Citizen’s automatics, such as the Tsuyosa and the Promaster Dive Automatic, are mechanical and wind themselves as you wear them; most run about 42 hours off the wrist, and the Tsuyosa 60 about 60. Citizen Quartz models take a battery and suit anyone who wants a simple watch with a day and date.

Choosing a Citizen

Start with where you’ll wear it. Dress lines such as Axiom are splash resistant only, while Corso and many everyday Eco-Drives are rated to 100 metres and the Promaster divers to 200. Then look at the case: some sport models come in Super Titanium, which Citizen describes as 40% lighter than stainless steel and more than five times harder, and the Citizen L models and many Promasters sit under sapphire crystal.
