Reading a Bulova spec

The Bulova watches in our range use one of three kinds of movement. Standard quartz runs on a battery. The Precisionist is a high-frequency quartz whose seconds hand sweeps instead of ticking, and its chronographs time to a thousandth of a second. An automatic winds itself as you wear it, typically with about 42 hours of reserve. Our guide to automatic, quartz or Eco-Drive explains the differences.

Check the water rating too. Bulova marks some watches splash resistant, which covers rain and hand-washing, while 200 metres covers swimming and snorkelling.
